meet our staff

We can't wait to meet all our campers! Here's a bit about us:

Our Story

Hi there! We are the founders and owners of Storybook Explorers Summer Camp. Here's how our story began. Bridgette, Kelli and Mariah all work together at Andover Elementary. One night we were all discussing our summer plans and sharing what we do with our time off. Bridgette and Mariah offer tutoring to students 1:1, while Kelli teaches craft classes and workshops. Plus we spend time with our families, travel, and READ...a lot. After comparing what we do with our break, we started dreaming up a summer where we combined forces and created an incredible summer day camp experience. Then we decided to put that dream into action. We shared our idea with Bridgettes sister Halle and the DREAM TEAM was created! We are so very passionate about teaching kids and empowering them with the confidence and tools to be successful.

Our Team

Hi! My name is Bridgette Megears and I teach second grade at Andover Elementary. I have taught for 9 years and I have a passion for instilling a love of learning for my students. I believe strongly in making reading fun and engaging and I am so excited to explore through storybooks at camp this summer. When I’m not at camp, I enjoy being outside with family and friends, discovering new books to read, and planning my next adventure through traveling.

Hi! My name is Kelli Anderson and I am the Volunteer Services Coordinator at Andover Elementary. I also own and operate Craft Social, where I teach craft based classes and workshops. When I'm not busy at my school, or teaching craft classes, I can be found spending time outside camping, hiking, or just marveling at the beauty that surrounds us. I love spending time with my family, crafting, cooking, and READING.

Hi! My name is Mariah Adams and I am a second grade teacher at Andover Elementary. I have been a teacher for 5 years. I can’t wait to make this summer one to remember as we explore storybooks together! When I'm not leading fun activities or telling campfire stories, you can find me reading a book, traveling, or spending time with family and friends! I am looking forward to an exciting summer of learning!
